Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 

On the theme of 'anxiety', this year's Mental Health Awareness Week is from 15 to 21 May.


Anxiety is a common condition affecting anyone at any age. In 2023, a study by the Mental Health Foundation found Nearly three-quarters of the population (74%) had felt anxious at least sometimes in the previous two weeks, with more than one in five people (19%) anxious most or all of the time.
Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get in the way of you thriving in life. And sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem.
BUT Anxiety CAN be made easier to manage. Managing your anxiety may look different for each individual, you may decide that counselling, getting support to tackle your basic needs, or mindfulness will be of benefit.
